Everyone was accounted for and outside the home when emergency services arrived
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service [MFRS] were called to Britannia Road in Wavertree at 3.04pm on Wednesday, August 23, following reports of a blaze. Three fire engines arrived at the scene eight minutes later and found a two-storey terraced house had a huge blaze taking over the top floor.
Pictures from the scene showed black smoke billowing from the top window of the home as people gathered in the street. MFRS confirmed all people in the home were outside the property and accounted for by the time emergency services arrived.Four firefighters entered the burning home to extinguish the fire with two hoses. By 3.45pm the firefighters had extinguished the blaze and were dampening down the property.
