A NUMBER of Scottish bakeries have been named on a list of the best in the UK.
The Times’ list of the 49 best bakeries to visit across the UK has been compiled by a number of chefs and bakers.
Roberta Hall-McCarron, who is the chef and co-owner of the Little Chartroom in Edinburgh, was selected to pick the best bakeries in Scotland.The bakery is known for its bread and sausage rolls and was described as “what is needed to kick-start the day”.A relatively new bakery known on the Leith Walk garnered praise for its grilled cheese sandwiches and cookies.
