Sir Michael Parkinson looked in brilliant spirits as he attended cricket umpire Dickie Bird's 90th birthday party on Wednesday.
Dickie wore a grey pinstripe suit over a bright blue shirt, and in a lovely photograph, he wrapped an arm around his pal Michael. Sir Michael is one of the UK's most successful broadcasters, having interviewed over 2,000 celebrities and people of credit on TV, including the late Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
The broadcaster had many a famous guest on his Parkinson chat show, including Orson Welles, Madonna and David and Victoria Beckham."The older ones and the newer ones, and also the kind of television that was being shown in those days. It was bliss."
