Sinn Féin's Alex Maskey said it was important for him to represent the Assembly in an "inclusive and respectful" way.Mr Maskey said he will be "pleased" to attend the coronation of Charles and Queen Consort Camilla on May 6.
"I therefore want to inform members that I am pleased to attend the coronation of King Charles III on behalf of the Assembly. Last year as Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Maskey led tributes on behalf of Northern Ireland to Queen Elizabeth II following her death aged 96.
