If a garden fence gets damaged by bad weather, it may be unclear as to which neighbour has to foot the bill.
Experts have shared some tips to help homeowners figure out whether they or their neighbour own a garden fence.
As reported by the Express, the first thing that you should do is figure out what way the fence is pointing. This is because homeowners will often have the "good" side facing outwards. While this is an easy way to make an estimated guess as to who owns which fence, Jacksons Fencing noted that it doesn't guarantee anything.
"In this, the 'T' mark is used to indicate who the boundary belongs to and therefore who is responsible for its upkeep."
