The officer who searched a man who later shot dead his colleague made the comment at an inquest.
A Metropolitan Police officer who missed a gun when he searched a man who then shot dead his colleague has told an inquest his search was "thorough".
PC Davey, who was a probationer at the time, also said he could not recall if he had seen the Met's stop-and-search policy or documents on how to deal with people who - like De Zoysa - are autistic. The officer replied: "I believe I gave him a thorough search where a firearm could have been secreted."
PC Davey also said he was "interrupted" while filling out paperwork and did not spot De Zoysa's manoeuvrings in the van.
