Central beach in the Highlands, while 32 took place at Tiger Hill beach near Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire.

Lib Dem leader Alex Cole-Hamilton raised the issue at First Minister’s Questions on Thursday, asking Mr Yousaf: “How many swimming pools of poo is he content to see put on our best-loved beaches?” Scottish Water published a “route map” in 2021 laying out how it plans to improve monitoring, with the installation of devices at around 1,000 sewer overflow points.
