A bus crashed into a central reservation on Oxford Street
There were scenes of chaos in Manchester city centre after a bus crashed into a central reservation on a major street. Around 15 to 20 people are understood to have been hurt, but their injuries were deemed to be 'minor'.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "GMP are responding to an ongoing road traffic collision in Manchester city centre. At around 12.35pm today , officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus on Whitworth Street in Manchester City Centre.
