Line Next has announced that it will team up with Sega and license an “immensely popular” IP for its blockchain gaming platform Game Dosi.

“Line Next is pleased to be teaming up with Sega to bring some exciting gaming to the Web3 space for gamers around the world,” said Youngsu Ko, CEO of Line Next.

It’s unclear what license this is referring to. The company behind Sonic The Hedgehog is letting third-party partners, including Three Kingdoms and Virtua Fighter, but currently it won’t allow its biggest characters to be associated with blockchain titles to avoid potentially devaluing its IP.
