Strickland jumped straight off the scale and into an interview with ESPN which quickly got awkward due to a combination of technical issues and the fact he was clearly not in the mood for a chat. Strickland said to someone off camera: “I can barely hear this guy, he’s cutting out. Ah, c’mon UFC! It’s ESPN, why aren’t we working?”
The issue quickly got resolved and UFC broadcaster John Gooden asked Strickland about the love he’s received from fans during his brief time in Sydney, Australia. Clearly exhausted, the American let out a big sigh before beginning to rant about the Australian government and apologising for not being his usual self.
