Police Scotland also handed out the most fines in the last four years.

A new study has revealed that Scottish drivers have received the most mobile phone fines during 2022.

Wessex Fleet sent Freedom of Information requests to various UK police forces, to reveal the areas with the most and least drivers fined for using a mobile device in a car in 2022 and since 2018.The results found that Police Scotland have handed out the most fines in 2022, as well as 10,614 in the last four years.

Police Scotland have reported that they have handed out 1,684 fines already in 2022 for those using their mobile phone while driving.
