Scottish Apprenticeship Week highlights the amazing roles and careers on offer to people across Scotland
Many of us are doing our bit like recycling our tins and cardboard packaging, donating unwanted clothes instead of chucking them in the bin, and tipping our teabags and eggshells into the food waste bin.
Currently in his second year of a Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with FES Group, Mandeep works on solar farms and district heating projects at construction sites across Scotland. The award winners will be announced at a live event in Aberdeen, marking the first time the awards have been held in the city. As Scotland’s long-standing hub of skills and innovation, and the capital for the energy transition not just in Scotland but the wider UK, it’s a natural choice for the event.
She said: “I do something different every day on my apprenticeship. It’s never the same install or the same job.
