Colin Hope, 81, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on a train, as well as two supermarket workers and one customer

Creepy Colin Hope was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on a train journey between Johnstone and Glasgow Central in December 2016.

The trial also heard how a young woman was sexually assaulted on a train by an “old man” when she was heading to Glasgow to do her Christmas shopping. There is also a dedicated St Mirren section that will follow every kick of the ball with the Buddies. The girl was just 15 at the time when Hope repeatedly touched her leg and put his hand up her skirt.

“I noticed he was getting closer and I tried to reassure myself that the train was busy, but his hand was on my leg, my left leg on my upper thigh. I was wearing a skirt and his hand was going up my skirt.” Further evidence was heard by a woman who told how Hope sexually assaulted her in a Renfrewshire supermarket on July 24, 2021, causing her to be sick.
