Steven McInally was held at Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Florida where it is believed border force officers found the sick videos and images.
A Scots soft play owner has been arrested after allegedly arriving in the US in possession of child sex abuse images.
The dad, who owns Go Wild Soft Play & Party Centre in Bridgeton and the venue on James Street, plays host to hundreds of children every week, was quickly closed following his arrest. Officers have been seen carrying out enquiries at the venue for several days. McInally had his mugshot taken by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office following his arrest on August 25. He is being held in Florida on a “courtesy hold for another jurisdiction” with a $1.2million bail bond in place.
Police Scotland confirmed they are in contact with officers in the US and are working to establish any criminality. It is unclear whether McInally can be sent back to Scotland quickly or will face an extradition process.
