A fire broke out at the Dug 'n' Duck in Stepps late last night
A pub on the outskirts of Glasgow has been destroyed in a late-night blaze. The alarm was raised shortly after 11.30pm on Wednesday, November 9, when officers received reports of a building alight in Stepps.
Police Scotland locked down a section of the road, as well as nearby Avenue End Road, with firefighters locked in a dramatic fight to temper the flames. It is understood that no one was injured in the blaze, and the cause is yet to be determined. Cones have been placed on one side of the road to keep motorists from entering the affected area, while traffic can be seen building heavily in the adjacent lane. The incident caused rush hour tailbacks on the roads approaching Glasgow this morning.
