Iain Patterson, 45, who lives in Hamilton, also missed his flight home from the Spanish Island on Friday, July 21. The holidaymaker had been visiting the destination with friend, James Sharp for a week-long getaway.
Despite waiting at the hotel for hours, James was forced to get the shuttle bus to the airport to catch the return flight when his pal didn't show up. Iain's belongings remain at the hotel and his passport with Spanish police. He told Glasgow Live: "It was Iain’s last night and he wanted to stay out and have a great time. If he was going to decide to stay, he would message someone.
