Scots gran stunned as partner proposes after decades of insisting he didn't want to marry
A gran was left delighted when her partner proposed - after 35 years of maintaining he didn't want to marry. Graham Martin, 56, popped the question to Andrea Murray, 60, in February.
The loved-up pair will now tie the knot in front of four generations in September. Andrea said: "It was a truly wonderful and so unexpected proposal. I have to keep pinching myself. The happy couple got together on April 22,1988 - so have just celebrated 35 years together. They agreed they'd be together for life 28 years ago and Graham even bought an engagement ring - but said they would not get married.
So he popped the question on February 2 on a day trip away from their home in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. The couple have planned their big day for September 9, at a hotel where Andrea used to work.
