George Gallagher took the owners of Flip Out Glasgow to an employment tribunal.
A trampoline park manager who was sacked for whistleblowing has been awarded more than £54,000 in compensation. George Gallagher had been living off benefits after being left out of work when he left his role at Flip Out Glasgow.
Glasgow Live reports that he worked for JOA Leisure Limited for several years before it was bought by Flip Out Ltd in 2021 for £2 million and had a clean disciplinary record. They informed their staff of the changes four days after the grievance was lodged on April 21, 2022. The new roles offered had reduced pay and bonus payments, and no free meals or company car, as they had previously.
He also believed the move was an attempt to "force him into a role where he would be stripped of his contractual entitlement such as a company car and bonus". The company said that it was just "co-incidental, and completely unconnected" that the grievance was submitted days before the re-set letters were issued.
