Katrina Butler and her husband Bryan took their three sons away to Cancun in Mexico for the 'trip of a lifetime' - but their trip soon turned into a living nightmare.
A Scots family have been left traumatised after a man was shot in face at the poolside of their holiday resort.
Holidaymakers were allegedly 'just yards away' from the incident. Katrina and Bryan had decided to cool off in the water when they heard gunshots ring out. The victim's body lay next to the pool where children had been playing just moments before he was shot. It is believed that the man was of Mexican origin and the attack was "gang" related.
