Aaron Traynor and Abbey Bruce do not yet know if any of their belongings survived the fire at a block of flats in Fife.
A young Scots couple watched their Fife home go up in flames having moved in just a few months before a huge fire left dozens homeless.
The couple fear they have been left with nothing as they wait to find out if any of their belongings survived the fire. Speaking to the Record, Aaron said: "The flat does not even have a roof anymore. We just watched it burn and left with just the clothes on our back. "I grabbed absolutely nothing, it just all happened very fast. The firefighters were asking me about my neighbours but as I've only been there three months I wasn't much help.
Abbey was working at McDonald's at the time and was alerted to the fire when Aaron called from the scene. "We didn't have insurance, we're just young and don't have much money as we both work at McDonalds. Although now I would get it. We just couldn't have imagined this."Service manager Greig Henderson explained that Fife Council is supporting tenants following the fire affecting flats in Francis St, Lochgelly.
