A drug dealer who was able to become a youth football coach after police found £40,000 of cocaine stashed in his home has been jailed.
He said: “He had intended to step back from his position with the football club but has now lost that anyway.” One furious parent said: “We know he was coaching and sometimes he would take a full session with the kids on his own. We’ve seen the photos on Facebook and in the paper. Airdrie Sheriff Court heard on Monday that police officers armed with a search warrant went to Moran’s home in the town on May 16 last year. A safe was found in a cupboard in the house and before it was opened Moran admitted there was about 500g of cocaine inside. A package found weighed 660g.
