Dillon bought two-year-old Roxy in lockdown and is a much-loved member in his family of five.

Dillan Neil, 26, from Aberdeen, who owns a two-and-a-half-year-old American XL Bully called Roxy, says there has not been a hint of aggression from his pet who he described as 'a member of the family'.

He told Aberdeen Live he initially had no plans to buy a dog, but that when the children met Roxy it was love at first sight. "It's two-and-a-half years I've had her and there hasn't been a single sign of aggression. I used to take her out and get quite a lot of funny looks and I suppose the last few days it's been a little bit worse.

"I guess at this moment in time it's just the uncertainty of not knowing what's actually going to happen if this law comes into place. "I was picking her up from work and we didn't even speak on the way home. That night was quite a sombre night. If my dog is taken from our house for any length of time, I'm going to have three heartbroken children and I don't know how I'm going to begin to explain that to them.
