Amid all the excitement surrounding the signing of Gianluca Scamacca, there will be one or two nerves among West Ham’s top brass.
The transfer is a ‘coup’ for the east Londonders, according to talkSPORT’s Lucy Ward, who believes Scamacca could be one of the signings of the summer. “As well as rotation and competition for Michail Antonio he needed a little bit of help in terms of rest… and when he was out with injury the team really struggled.
“There also won’t be too much attention on him. He’s played in the Eredivisie as a 16-year-old so I’m sure he’ll be able to settle.was his mentor and made sure he played in between the posts, so he’s obviously a finisher.Things have looked good for West Ham in recent seasons with David Moyes guiding them to the Europa League semi-finals last term and the Hammers.
