Saudi Arabia declares national holiday following shock World Cup upset against Argentina
Saudi Arabia is celebrating today after pulling off one of the greatest World Cup shocks by beating Lionel Messi's Argentina yesterday. The country immediately declared a national holiday for today to celebrate their team's incredible win.
Messi put the South American side in the lead early into the game and many would have thought this would be the first of many goals in a predicted comfortable win. However, Argentina were left to regret disallowed goals before Saudi Arabia scored two stunning goals and held on for the shock victory.Saudi fans could be seen celebrating en-masse outside the ground in Qatar after the game in scenes of joy.
