A Bangor salon owner accused of dangerous driving today denied he was driving too fast prior to the crash.
The two-car collision occurred at around 2pm on December 10, 2019 on the Groomsport Bypass section of the A2 Bangor to Donaghadee road. Describing the conditions as “horrendous ... biblical”, Kahan said he intended to make the trip earlier that day but postponed the journey due to the weather. “The water seems to come from the sides as well as the front, there was a deluge of water and I felt the car basically take off.
“It felt as if the car was floating on the water and I had no control to try and correct my steering.”
