The plane was travelling from Tenerife when it was diverted to Faro

A Ryanair flight travelling to Liverpool from Tenerife was diverted to Faro after a passenger allegedly had to be restrained by a fellow passenger after becoming angry because he was refused service.

Stuart, 60, and his family had just enjoyed a week of sun in Tenerife. Stuart said: "We had a good time I went with my brother, his friend and my wife and kids we do it once a year."READ MORE: First look at Ring O' Bells pub as it reopens after eight years Stuart said: "I saw him getting on the plane and I could tell he was absolutely legless, about an hour and a half into flight I heard shouting and I looked behind me and a passenger was restraining him, apparently this was because the air steward had refused to serve him alcohol."

The man didn't leave willingly. Stuart said: "The police got on at the back of the plane and the man started walking down the plane away from the police."
