Porto has become a popular city break destination
The coastal city, known for port wine and elegant architecture, has risen in popularity among tourists in recent years. The Times has said it "buzzes with the air of somewhere on the up but notes that "the city’s charm remains undiminished".
Ryanair operates flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Porto. The flight from the Speke-based airport to Portugal's second city takes around 2.5 hours.Single flights can cost in the region of £50 to £75. However, at the time of writing, the flight to Porto departing from Liverpool John Lennon Airport on October 26, would cost £26.
