Monjur Khan, 32, forced his way into the woman's home in Rotherham before attacking her, police say.
A "dangerous predator" has been jailed for 15 years for sexually assaulting a woman in her own home.
He then repeatedly punched the woman, who is in her 70s, before grabbing her by the throat, forcing her to the floor and assaulting her.He also admitted two counts of attempted trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence. She said the investigation into the attack revealed Khan had been seen in the area earlier the same day "behaving either inappropriately or suspiciously".
