Police say two stolen vehicles were involved in the incident which happened late on Friday night.

Three people were hospitalised after a minibus carrying footballers back from a match flipped onto its side.

Chairman Roger Hudd said he believes the actions of the driver to avoid an oncoming car "avoided fatalities".Roman Glass had won a Hellenic League Premier Division match at Longlevens in Gloucester and were travelling home at about 23:30 BST when the incident happened. He said the car hit the minibus which then ended up on its side, with passengers "being thrown about"."Our driver managed to take evasive action - he was hanging by his seat belt and appears to be fine. Without his actions there would have been fatalities," he said.

The force, which appealed for witnesses or anybody with dashcam footage to come forward, said two of the vehicles involved were stolen Mitsubishi Outlanders.
