The Canberra Raiders halfback has been linked with a move to the club.
Rohan Smith refused to be drawn on speculation linking Leeds Rhinos with a move for Canberra Raiders' Matt Frawley. Rugby League Live revealed last week that the halfback had been identified as a key target at Headingley, with talks being launched.
There is a growing belief Frawley will be wearing the blue and amber of Leeds next season. The former Huddersfield Giants playmaker is thought to be growing increasingly closer to finalising a return to Super League next season. It's no secret Leeds are on the lookout for a halfback, potentially two, with Aidan Sezer heading to Wests Tigers and Blake Austin's contract up at the end of the season. Lachie Miller, the new addition from Newcastle Knights, has been signed to play at fullback next season.
But Smith, who has made a habit of being coy on his recruitment plans since his arrival, would neither confirm nor deny the club's interest in Frawley, despite growing reports. When asked, he said: "I'm not going to make any comments on media speculation about possible recruits."Leeds have announced two new signings for next year, with Miller to be joined by Mickael Goudemand, the Catalans Dragons forward.
