Police and ambulance crews were at the scene on Hollyhedge Road in Wythenshawe tonight
The emergency services were tonight responding to a serious crash in Wythenshawe. It follows reports that a police pursuit ended with a car crashing into another vehicle.
One carriageway of Hollyhedge Road remained closed tonight. Pictures from the scene showed a Vauxhall Corsa and Seat Leon have suffered significant damage following a collision. One resident described hearing a 'loud bang' before seeing the two crashed cars, one of them on the pavement. Another witness told the M.E.N. one of the vehicles was being chased by a police car and that, following the collision, there was also a foot-chase.
