Railway workers have announced a new series of 48-hour strikes in December and January, throwing Christmas plans into jeopardy ⬇️
Mr Lynch said in a statement: “Our message to the public is we are sorry to inconvenience you, but we urge you to direct your anger and frustration at the government and railway employers during this latest phase of action.
The union also said the Government has been “directly interfering” with their negotiator’s attempts to reach a settlement, even after they suspended previous strikes “in good faith” to allow for negotiations to take place.has not made an improved offer on jobs, pay and conditions, and neither has Rail Delivery Group , which represents the train operating companies.
Tim Shoveller, Network Rail’s chief negotiator, said: “No-one can deny the precarious financial hole in which the railway finds itself.
