The Prime Minister has been in Pendle today
Rishi Sunak has said 'rules must be followed' after being quizzed on allegations surrounding Scott Benton MP, during a trip to East Lancashire today .
During his tour of Colne's iconic theatre, LancsLive asked Mr Sunak, who travelled up to Lancashire by train, to comment on whether the rules regarding MPs' additional income should be tightened. "Those rules were tightened up last year. There is a code of conduct and a set of rules which govern MPs and second jobs and those rules were tightened up last year. It's not a matter for the government it is a matter for parliament and it's right that those rules are followed but you are lucky here having an example of an MP doing exactly the right thing."
