Ricky Martin splits from husband Jwan Yosef after six years 'with dignity'
Having initially met via Instagram eight years ago, the pair walked down the aisle in 2017, with the Livin' La Vida Loca icon telling US talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres how he and the award-winning Swedish painter got together: "I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And I contacted him and then I collected him."
"Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centred on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other." "And then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you' and he was like, 'What is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it.'Yeah it was very beautiful... And then 30 minutes after I said, 'Did you say yes?' Yes. He said 'Yes.'"
