Ricky Hatton is looking back at some of his lowest moments. And as you might expect he doesn't pull his punches.
“Non-boxing people will enjoy this,” he says. “Enjoy” might not be the right word but non-boxing people will certainly be gripped. “Back then I was having full English breakfasts on the morning of a fight,” smiles Hatton. “Absolutely nobody fancied me to win.” Some commentators pointed to the hapless performance of the referee, others to Hatton’s binge-drinking and binge-eating. He says his mental health issues became worse.
