Leeds Rhinos star Richie Myler has taken a bold stance against online abuse by addressing a situation that has plagued him and his family for over a year.
In his post, Myler expressed the toll this abuse has taken on him and his family, condemning the "derogatory" and "disgusting" comments they have been subjected to. They have been posted on Tattle.Life, which claims to be "a commentary website on public business social media accounts. We allow commentary and critiques of people that choose to monetise their personal life as a business and release it into the public domain.
Notably, he disclosed that the abuse had been predominantly generated by a small group of six or seven individuals who had posted an astonishing 4,000 comments. His willingness to involve the North Yorkshire Police in the matter demonstrates the seriousness with which he views this situation.
