Antonio Conte has confirmed that Richarlison picked up a calf injury in Tottenham’s win against Everton and won’t be available for the match against Manchester United.
The Brazil international was forced off in the early stages of the second-half, falling to the floor and holding his calf in the process. He was able to walk off the pitch after receiving treatment but the news will be of significant concern to the 25-year-old, with the World Cup in Qatar just over a month away.
In his press conference, head coach Conte spoke of Richarlison’s injury and that he would miss the trip to Old Trafford. “He felt something in his calf and he won’t be available for that game. He needs a bit of time to recover.” Spurs won 2-0 on the occasion, with Harry Kane opening the scoring through a well taken penalty against Jordan Pickford.
