Let’s Grow Preston will meet with local residents to discuss the site at an official opening ceremony in September 🌳LetsGrowPreston
Over the summer, the centre will offer activities for children, parents and young people in conjunction with existing organisations, with the September event offering activities that will give residents ‘a flavour’ of what will be available at the centre.Let’s Grow Preston said: “With time and effort, we expect the space to evolve into a base for the community, with local volunteers to help run it.
“We believe that through horticultural activities both at Grange Park and linking activities and people to the existing Grange Community Garden and Moor Nook Allotments, we will be able to create an even more resilient and collaborative community. “It has a beautiful outside space, which will be a low maintenance wildlife garden with some room for small cultivations and growing, but we will encourage people to visit and get involved with Grange Community Garden and Moor Nook allotments.”Let’s Grow Preston is keen to chat to locals, inviting them to speak about issues facing the site.
