Was it worth the hype?
The wrap was made up of plant-based patty, salad, and vegan mayonnaise wrapped in a tortilla.
The patty itself was quite dense and felt more artificial compared to its competitors, but worked fairly well as a substitute with the mayonnaise taking centre stage in terms of flavour.You wouldn’t really know the salad was there without looking as it was overpowered by the rest of the wrap. The mayonnaise had a really strong taste, if a little overwhelming to me for a breakfast, but it certainly gave my day a kick-start.
On the other hand, the hash brown was a little underwhelming and flavourless and didn’t look particularly attractive.Branding outside the store had advertised it as 'Canada’s favourite coffee'. I’ve usually found fast-food outlets' coffee not worthwhile, as it doesn’t set itself apart from what you get from machine or instant coffee.
Instead, the Tim Hortons coffee was really nice and smooth, especially for the price as part of the meal.Also, others might be more excited about the doughnuts and meaty burgers, which I didn’t try, and they may be more used to eating a little more for breakfast.
