A respected teacher who was thought to be a 'pillar of society' in local community has been unmasked as a predatory paedophile whose abuse devastated the lives of two boys.
Prosecutor Lee Bremridge told the court how he befriended the boys’ parents who let them stay over at his house.
Williams, a teacher at Budehaven School in Bude, Cornwall, let them play games, stay up late and cooked them pancakes as part of a sick grooming campaign. But when they went to bed, Williams would launch his sexual attacks. He often went to church the following day while their parents picked them up.In a heart-wrenching impact statement, a victim said the abuse was so regular it became ‘completely normal’.
He said: ‘Nowhere is safe and there are triggers everywhere. I’m not even safe when I close my eyes and try to sleep. Memories keep coming back and taunting me.
