Residents awoke to police knocking on their doors at 5am
People living on a busy inner city road where two people were found dead as part of a major police incident say the news is "very disturbing." Nottinghamshire Police responded to three incidents in the city early on Tuesday in which three people were killed.
Tony Shannon, 80, who lives nearby behind a Tesco, said: "I asked the police before what had happened but they wouldn't say, which was understandable. But finding out about the deaths is very disturbing. Qasim Mohammed, 50, who lives on Ilkeston Road, said: "It's been very confusing and disturbing for everyone. Me and my family are always around here going to the shops so it's very scary. I can't believe it."
One man, whose home faces the cordoned off area, said police knocked on his door at 5am to ask if he had any camera footage. He said: "I did not hear anything in the night and I had my windows open.
