Blackpool RNLI have been called out three times over 12 hours after being called out to incidents in the area.
Crews were asked to search between Central and South Pier as a person was reportedly in the water. Both lifeboats were launched in response and after a systematic search of the area, they were stood down at 3.45am.Then, at 11.50am a second page was made to the volunteer crews, but this call out was resolved before the launch was required to be made. After arriving at the Lifeboat Station, the crew then stood down.
The patrol on the scene this time were able to resolve the situation before the lifeboat was launched. The Class D boat was ready to support the Beach Patrol "whose vigilance in keeping the beach safe is commended."
