at only nine years old, and then she stole hearts all over the world with her debut leading role of Akeelah on. After the movie came out, subscriptions for spelling competitions must have sky-rocketed as she really made spelling bees an IAlmost 20 years later and Keke's career has taken off like a Virgin Galactic rocket. She's also aand has spent the past few years speaking candidly about how real life as a mum can get, but how beautiful it is.
That's the energy she radiates, so no wonder everyone is always rooting for Keke. Even when controversy strikes “namely” her unproblematic nature takes over and she always get us laughing our way out of the drama. When possible she also finds a way of navigating through “scandal” by monetising it, all this without losing sight of her morals and integrity. We love a financially-savvy queen after all.and is truly an inspiration for Black girls everywhere.
