Shefaa hailed her family for their support throughout her studies
A Syrian refugee who graduated on Monday with a First Class Honours has described her journey as the “impossible dream”.
"A quote which has always motivated me is: ‘A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work’. After a lot of hard work and gaining many qualifications and an Access course, the great dream came true in September 2019 and I was finally a Queen’s student. , and has urged anyone who may face obstacles in life, to never let them get in the way of a dream.
"Belfast Met, The Prince’s Trust and Ruth Hayman Trust which provided financial and educational support. Of course, to Queen’s University Belfast which gave me the opportunity to reach my full potential.
