Stephen Martin has been selected as the referee for Saturday’s home Championship fixture against Rotherham United. The Staffordshire official last officiated a match involving Watford in September 2022 when he was referee for the dismal 2-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers. Martin has been busy with his cards this season, showing a total of 44 yellows and one red in his seven league and cup matches to date. He has issued at least eight cautions in three of those games.
