The official has already taken charge of a Hornets fixture this season WatfordFC
Leigh Doughty is set to referee a Watford game for the second time this season after being appointed to officiate Saturday’s game with Coventry City at Vicarage Road.
The official has taken charge of 12 games this season, ten of which have been in the Championship including the Hornets’ 1-1 draw at Rotherham United at the start of September. Doughty has shown a total of 53 yellow cards and three reds so far this season, the most recent of which came last night when he dismissed Rotherham’s Cohen Bramall as they let slip a 2-1 lead and were beaten 3-2 at Championship leaders Burnley deep into injury time.
Sam Lewis and Matthew Smith are due to be the assistant referees against the Sky Blues, with Charles Breakspear on fourth official duties as Slaven Bilic’s in-form side seek a fourth consecutive victory.
