Families are worried sick.
A rat was filmed going down a child's slide in a communal garden in Glasgow as the vermin continue to blight properties on Earl Street.
The 48-year-old mum, who has lived in her rented flat for eight years, said: "I was taking the leftovers of the wrapping paper to the bin, it was pitch black when I opened the lid and this big black shadow came running towards me, went up on my hand, right up my arm and across my chest and then jumped off."I felt a sharp pain in my hand. I got a fright and was screaming.
She added: "They just do what they want without fear. There’s been times where we have been sitting in the garden during the summer and they have run right under our chairs. A Glasgow City Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of this situation and we have been working closely with the local housing association to address the problem.
