Adam Stock was on licence at the time of his latest offences
A Leyland man has been jailed for 10 years after raping a woman in an assault which was witnessed by her child.
On Tuesday at Preston Crown Court Adam Stock, 32, was sentenced to 10 years for rape and two years for a serious sexual assault witnessed by the victim’s child, after having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. Police said that both the victim and her child have been left traumatised by these incidents which occurred in their own home.
At the time of committing these sexual offences Stock was on licence from an eight-year prison sentence, having been released halfway through that sentence in 2021. That conviction related to 10 counts of rape he was found guilty of against another victim in very similar circumstances.
In a statement police said: "We are committed to protecting women from all forms of sexual harm and violence. If you or somebody you know has been the victim of such offences, we would ask that you contact the police knowing you will be believed, listened to and we will do everything in our power to put the perpetrator before the courts."
