Michael Beale's men were drawn in Group C at the draw in Monaco for UEFA's second tier tournament.
Rangers defeated Sparta Prague to secure a Europa League knockout place on the way to the final in Seville – and will now face the Czech side again as well as a return trip to the Andalusian capital.
The venue for that final was of course the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville and Rangers will be back in the south of Spain. But rather than Sevilla’s home they will travel to the home of their fierce rivals Real Betis. The Spaniards were drawn from Pot 2 alongside the Light Blues and Sparta Prague, while Cypriot champions Aris Limassol make up the section.
INTERESTING FACT: Real Betis adopted green and white as their club colours thanks to one of the club’s founders, Manuel Asensio Ramos, who had studied in Scotland in his youth. Manuel had supported Celtic and liked the colours.MANAGER: Brian Priske. Former Danish international defender led FC Midtjylland to the title three years ago. Went to Royal Antwerp and was appointed Sparta boss last year in a surprise move and went on to win them the title.
