Rangers have been left rankled by the use of VAR after Kemar Roofe's goal against Celtic was chalked off on Sunday - and are set to contact the SFA for answers.
Roofe thought he'd opened the scoring at Ibrox but referee Don Robertson was called over to the pitchside monitor by Alan Muir to review an apparent foul by Cyriel Dessers on Gustaf Lagerbielke in the build-up. After a delay, he overturned his decision and awarded Celtic a free-kick instead, sparking fury in the home ranks.
Celtic went on to win the game 1-0 through Kyogo and there has been plenty of debate about the Roofe decision in the wake of the game. Former whistler Dermot Gallagher was among the critics claiming Robertson's initial decision to award the goal was '100 per cent correct.' And now The Herald report Rangers have been left bemused by how VAR has been used and contacted the governing body for answers over the decision-making process behind the incident.
